We are aware of the fact that people with disabilities often encounter a lot of difficulties when it comes to facing labor market situation, while many forms of disabilities do not prevent them from performing everyday tasks, such as those which our company can offer. That is why we have decided to address our training, internship and job offers for people with different forms of disabilities to institutions which represent this group of people. We strongly believe that both the type of tasks and the conditions which we offer allow us to include this group of people into our team, and that our cooperation may be beneficial for both sides.
We invite all institutions and individual persons interested in our offer to contact us.
Centrum Lokalizacji C&M has been working on computer terminology management methods for several years. Lately, thanks to Open Source software such as the Morfologik library and the Adorner system, we have achieved a nearly complete independence from grammatical forms of the English-Polish language pair. This achievement enabled highly efficient extraction of terminology from bilingual files in these languages and allowed for automated terminology verification in texts translated from English into Polish and from Polish into English. Bartłomiej Dymek and Michał Tyszkowski will discuss in detail the results of our efforts on the 29th of March during this year's Translation and Localization Conference in Warsaw.
Starting from the beginning of 2014, C&M has become a partner of e-Hipokrates.com, a portal intended for physicians, pharmacists and the health care industry. The scope of cooperation involves managing the medicine-related terminology and translating the website's content.
We are sure that both organizations, C&M and e-Hipokrates.com, will benefit from the partnership. We will be able to reach more clients from this industry, while our experience and extensive terminology resources will help e-Hipokrates.com offer their users the best quality content and a large terminology base.
2013 has been a good year for C&M Localization Center. Our revenue increased again, we introduced new work posts, implemented new tools enhancing our work quality, and expanded our internship programs. Our “Świat dla Młodych” (World for the Young) scholarship scheme, which is intended for linguistically gifted youths from the Lower Silesian region, is still very popular.
The recurrent recertification audit has confirmed that the methodology and procedures employed by our company are 100% compliant with PN-EN 15038. No non-compliances were found during the audit, which indicates that C&M complies with all requirements laid down in PN-EN 15038.
We hope that 2014 will start equally good and it will eventually become another successful year in our history.
A conference organized by the Terminology Section of the Polish Information Processing Society (PTI) concerning terminology management was held in Warsaw on 24 of October. Since 2013, Centrum Lokalizacji C&M has been supporting the postgraduate education at the Philological School of Higher Education (WSF). As part of the initiative, members of our team run the "Computer assisted translation tools and their usage" course for the students of the Postgraduate Studies for Specialist and Sworn Translators and Interpreters of German.
The course of studies is built upon the C&M's proprietary educational program, which envelopes such items as CAT tools basics, quality assurance and control as well as an introduction to project management. We hope that this class fills a vast gap in educating translators in Poland due to which they enter the job market lacking essential knowledge and skills in the use of CAT tools.

The moving into the new office of C&M, which took place exactly one year ago, had a positive impact on the development of the company.
We have expanded the team of translators and project managers, gained new clients and increased the number of projects we can handle at any given time.Better office conditions also made it possible to expand our educational offer in the form of internships for students.
We are currently running an internship program for foreign students in the field of translation and project management, as well as programs for Polish students in the fields of technical translation, application of IT in language services, and also sales and B2B service marketing. In the beginning of the new academic year, we are starting a new internship program for Polish students that is focused on translation project management. Also we're planning to take the patronage of the linguistics curriculum at the Philological School of Higher Educationin Wrocław.

This spring C&M launched a new internship initiative for students of computer science. In our work, we use highly advanced information technology every day.The tools we use differ a lot from the most typical applications, which are taught in university level education, and that is why our internship program can be a very interesting addition to basic courses. We offer practical exercises in the fields of computer systems and networks, database and linguistic tools development, as well as machine translation. Students appreciate C&M for a friendly atmosphere, the willingness of its employees to help solve problems, and for valuable tips and advice. That is why the IT internships are now just very popular. On June 1, the employees of C&M Localization Center, as part of the continued support provided to the Community Center in Legnica, invited the children to the Wrocław Zoological Garden. Despite the bad weather, the children participated in a fantastic adventure during their visit in the Wrocław ZOO, where numerous attractions for young visitors had been prepared. Our employees proved themselves to be the perfect supplementary carers, and the happiness and joy in the eyes of the children that can be seen in the photos, is the highest award for our company.
